First Day of 2026

First Day of 2026

I woke up Early morning and set up the New Year tea table, Soft morning light, a simple cloth, and a pot of tea felt like the right way to begin a new chapter. There’s something comforting about starting the year with intention—choosing warmth, presence, and simplicity. If you love to see my 1First Day of 2026 here is some images.

Today, while scrolling through my social media, I came across a beautiful New Year’s Eve ritual practiced by Spanish people. In Spain, it’s traditional to eat 12 grapes at midnight, one with each clock chime, to invite good luck for each month of the coming year. This tradition is known as “Las doce uvas de la suerte”—the Twelve Grapes of Luck.

Because of Spanish influence, this ritual is also followed in several Latin American countries, including Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Chile. I had never heard of this tradition before, yet I had already placed grapes on my New Year table.

A quiet coincidence, and a lovely reminder of how traditions can find us in unexpected ways.

I’ve always preferred a calm, homey feeling in everything. Instead of going out for New Year celebrations, we stay at home each year and celebrate in our own simple, meaningful, mindful way.

How about your New Year Day?
