I turned My Family Dinner into something awesome!

We as a typical Sri Lankan people eat rice with a few curries, no words it is amazingly good and feel heaven. Whereas I have being seeking a proper gateway to skip, rice as staple in dinner. Since we both are spending our thirties , I thought that would be healthy. Changing someone’s chronic food habits and addictions in a jiffy would be a difficult task. Therefore, I thought to give a green light.

Recently, in Japan we had to face a shortage of rice. A10 kg of Japanese rice cost about 7000Yen which is too expensive moreover rice racks of almost every supermarket was empty.

So this was a good pinpoint for me to convert our rice based traditional dinner table into something awesome. But, truly the most appropriate word is .. something healthy. When I come to the point of preparing dinner, my mind works in innovative and awesome way. Everyday, I try to convert the things I have inside the refrigerator and pantries something wonderful.

Converting anything into soup or something else is quiet interesting, all leftovers in your refrigerator, lentils in your pantry also can be turned into soup. Only thing yo need is creativity.

My family dinner consisted with high protein foods mostly. Meat, fish, tofu, eggs, roasted oats, spinach, leftover vegetables and finally some rice. My husband asks for a very little portion of rice in dinner, he thinks he can not live washout it. Hahaa!!

When I am in grocery shopping, instant soup packets are filling in racks, I just take the packet out of the rack, see both sides and keep it back. You see. I am just looking the names and imagine how to prepare a bowl of flavorful soup at home.

I am sharing some photos of my dinner. And you can join with my YouTube channel, and see how it is prepared.
