We are sharing our touching reunions!!

Relationship

While on social media, I found something that weighed me down. Hearty demonstrations of “Touching reunions.”

One was the return of a military personality to his house after months. Suddenly, someone knocked at the door. The sweet little girl, about 4-5 years old, was rushing towards the door and hugged the left leg of the tall guy who appeared in front of the half-opened door and screamed, “Daddy!” What a touching reunion one can have!!

The return of loved ones after months is such an incredible moment. The rejoin with those who love is awesome. We all love to be with our loved ones all day, but that is not possible all the time.

I can remember one tearing moment that I experienced in my childhood. One of my relations adopted son joined the military, and time passed. We all waited for him to come home again. His return was just a dream. All we got was a sealed box folded up Sri Lankan flag. That reel reminds me of how we felt that day. I saved the reel and replayed it several times and sobbed over those sweet reunions.

Loving reunions are always a great shout-out about the love among people. We are social creatures, and we are meant to be flocking. So, how could we simply give up our touching reunions?

We experience such touching reunions and we feel incomplete without it. Here are some of my thoughts!

My heartwarming reunion with my husband exactly six months ago taught me how hearty and incredible the reunion is. It is so glorious to be together. I can still remember his glittering eyes at the airport and the way we hugged. It was like a movie scene. So glamorous!!

On the flip side of the coin, I remembered how I shed tears secretly when leaving my family at the Airport. Even after long hugs, we could not stop touching each other and squeezing our shoulders. Such a heart-aching moment to remember.

My settlement in a foreign country reminds me of the importance of a touching reunion. We live in different countries, and our meet-ups are not frequent. But when the time comes we, marvel at our togetherness with chatting and eating. But we are so proud that still have our close bond and resilience.

Do you remember how COVID kept us apart? But could you remember how we rejoined with our loved ones the minute we were fully vaccinated? What a memory!! And I am sending love and good thoughts to the families who lost their loved ones. I feel you!!

And I am waiting for such a priceless reunion by the end of the month!! I do not know how mad I am and how I would react. I can’t wait for the first dinner with her after years.

Shall we share each other touching reunion? How do you marvel at your reunion?
