Are you biting the wrong bake? Are you pretty sure what you are eating in every purchase?
I am sure that this remains a burning question for most “picky eaters”. It is tiresome when you have no single idea of what is written on the labels in a language not known to you. It becomes more complex when ingredients appear in one of the most difficult languages in the world. (Japanese of course!) You know some letters but the meaning does not make any sense to you!!. So the options are limited.
I pull out my phone in a jiffy turn on the Google translation and look for the stuff written on it. I know it is taking time. So sometimes I murmur to myself “I am full, it is better not to eat too much of bakery items” (hahaha). Sometimes I miss mouth-watering Japanese bakery products. What a waste!!
Biting the wrong bake seems challenging.
When there are few types of pastries in front of you, no writing at all what would be your technique? Yes, I am the one who chose the pasties. I am responsible for what I pick. But when different shapes and designs are glittering inside the showcase, I easily go with the shape not the stuff in it. (Haha) So most of the time my husband becomes my life savior, he tastes his first bite and predicts what is in it. (Haha)
When I was in Sri Lanka, it was so comfortable to purchase bakery items. I directly placed my question on the person at the counter about some unfamiliar baking, “What is the stuff inside this round little thing?”So simple as that. Here I am seeing so long queues in front of bakery shops most of the time.
However, one of my friends told me, that there are some cafes where “picky eaters” are safe. A particular paper print on the wall of the cafe, tells what you are eating according to the shape of the baking you purchased. The full range of bakes is nicely printed on the wall.
What a groundbreaking invention!! You know what you eat. No waste! No doubt! How easy!
Have you experienced this? How do you choose the right baking?
