Summer Trip 2026

Summer Trip

Finally we are in, Summer family vacation.

This summer, we decided to take a little trip to Tochigi Prefecture with our baby. We wanted to spend some time outside, enjoy nature, and have a simple family day away from our usual routine.

One of the places we visited was Ryuka Waterfall. The waterfall was beautiful, and being surrounded by trees and fresh air made the trip feel refreshing. But getting there was not as easy as we expected. The way was quite hard, especially because we had our baby with us. We had to take our time, walk carefully, and make sure the baby was comfortable along the way.

One thing we noticed on our way to Ryuka Waterfall was the bear warning signs along the trail. 🐻

At first, seeing a sign warning about bears at the very beginning of the such a peaceful forest definitely made us a little nervous! The surroundings were so quiet and green that the sign I was truly afraid with the sign. However We continued carefully and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, while keeping an eye on our surroundings. If you are going to see this wonderful waterfall keep this in mind too.

Even though the walk was challenging, we were happy that we continued.

If you’re visiting with toddlers, keep in mind that the path can be a little challenging in some places. So, if you’re travelling with little ones, take your time and pay a little extra attention to them along the way. It’s definitely manageable, but a little extra care makes the walk much more comfortable and enjoyable for everyone. 🌿👣

Sometimes family trips are not completely easy, especially when you travel with a baby, but those little challenges often become part of the memory. Reaching the waterfall and seeing it in person made all the effort feel worth it. Yes, hard paths always present wonderful things.

We also brought food from home with us. This made things much easier because we didn’t have to worry about finding food while traveling with the baby. We could simply stop, take a break, and enjoy our homemade food together. There was something really nice about eating food we had prepared at home while spending the day surrounded by nature.

After that, we visited Senbonmatsu Farm. It was a lovely place to slow down and enjoy the rest of the day. After the difficult walk to the waterfall, it was nice to have a more relaxed part of our trip.

By this time, our phones had completely run out of battery, so unfortunately, we couldn’t capture many of the beautiful scenes we came across on the way. But perhaps that is what makes those moments even more special. We may not have photographs of them, but the beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and little moments are still vividly alive in our memories. Sometimes, the moments we cannot photograph are the ones we remember the most. 🌿🤍

Refreshing!

We two with ice cream.

We had this full creamy fresh milk ice cones at Senbonmatsu Farm. It was a lovely experience and I recommend if you ever been to this beautiful farm please enjoy this.

Isn’t it beautiful? This capture is from the hotel we stayed at night,

The hallway of the hotel we stayed.

The breakfast.

Traveling with a baby definitely takes a little more preparation, but this trip reminded us that we can still enjoy beautiful places as a family. We had to go at our own pace, bring what we needed, and accept that things might take longer than usual.

It wasn’t a perfect or completely easy day, but it was a good one. The beautiful scenery, the challenging walk, our homemade food, and the time we spent together made this summer trip to Tochigi a memory we will always remember.

Finally here we are
