
Homemade Meatballs
Both me and my husband hardly eat meatballs and sausages. So instead of meatballs from the grocery, I cook this tasty delicious above all easy meatball recipe for my family. Homemade food is the best.
Here we go with the ingredients quickly
Olive oil
Ground chicken or whatever meat you prefer
2–3 tbsp breadcrumbs (optional, for binding)
diced onion, ginger paste and well chopped garlic
1–2 green chilies, finely chopped (optional)
turmeric, cumin, you can add coriander powder, garam masala too for flavoring.
salt, chillie at your taste
tomato Sause or the tomato puree.
broccoli sprouts for garnishing (optional)
Prepare the Meatballs
In a bowl, mix the minced meat, onions, garlic, ginger, chilies, coriander, garam masala, chili powder, salt, breadcrumbs, and an egg. Combine well until the mixture is smooth. Shape into small balls and set aside.
Cook the Curry Base
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Sauté chopped onions until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw smell disappears.
- Stir in turmeric, cumin, coriander powder, and chili powder.
- Add tomato puree or tomato sauce and cook until the oil separates.
3. Add Meatballs to the Curry
- Gently place the meatballs into the curry (do not stir immediately , because need avoid breaking the meatballs).
- Cover and cook on low flame for 10–12 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce or the puree and simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
- Add garam masala and adjust salt.
4. Garnish & Serve
add broccoli sprouts on top. You can add fresh coriander leaves too.
