Anything watched recently?
In fact, I’ve started watching Absentia, and it has become my little escape in the middle of mom duties, cooking, dishes, and the never-ending toy cleanup.
After becoming a mom, your life becomes incredibly wide, with many duties and responsibilities. Your priority comes second, and the priorities of the little soul always come first. But being upgraded to my best version helps me to be the mom my baby always needs.
This kind of me time lets me be myself.
I have started watching Absentia, a dark and suspenseful thriller series on Netflix. If you have not heard about Absentia, it is a thriller movie, a suspenseful series about an FBI agent who goes missing and is declared dead, only to suddenly return years later with no memory of what happened to her. It’s intense, emotional, and full of twists — exactly the kind of show that grabs you and doesn’t let go. Among my favorite movies, the mysterious and suspenseful ones will always be there.
I always love stories that ask questions. There is something to think about always. (There are times I need to just sit and watch what is in it. I love that type of drama when I feel tired; no need for extra effort to figure out what would be next.) One minute you’re sure you’ve figured out who the villain is, and the next minute you’re like, “Nope… I was wrong again.” It definitely keeps my tired mom brain awake better than coffee sometimes!
Some of my peer moms always ask me, You are doing many, cooking daily, learn things, and doing website things, how do you really find time for all? My answer is, I love to be happy all the time, so I find time, however.
So my favorite little ritual lately is as follows:
- Put the kid to bed
- Grab a cozy blanket
- Hit “play” on Absentia
If you have other recommendations for a mom who needs something thrilling to keep her awake after a long day, let’s share!
