Are you really into audiobooks?

Do you have a recommended list of “Audiobooks”?

I am keen on this because one of my friends asked, “Why don’t you try audiobooks?” The truth is, I have not given it a thought. I am a bookworm; my reading corner is always filled with printing material, and I love it. But as an apprentice to the audiobook readers’ club, I love to give it a try.

Why did I wanna try this?

As an old fashion lover, I always fall in love with printing material. My vocabulary is not strong enough to express my authentic feelings towards the physical version of a book. From choosing a book to finishing it up, it’s a wonderful journey for me. I love to wander inside bookstores. Touching a good old book and smelling it is so good and incredible feeling and I still love it.

But lately, I understood that my reading productivity is not at a satisfactory level. Although it is a great feeling, creeping into a bookstore and digging for the book I love is time-consuming. So I wanted to give it a try with audio reading.

Which way would be the best?

But I have no single idea where to start. To be honest, I do not know about my ability to just sit and listen. I experienced this while I was in university, lengthy lectures made me bored. Literally, I was dozing most of the time. Single taker is not my style. So, I was thinking would an audiobook be a good option for me?

Of course. My friends suggested audiobook reading because it is always possible to multitask. I am a multi-tasker, so hopefully, I will be good at audiobooks. Listening while cooking, exercising, and folding laundry will be fine while listening. You are killing two bids with one stone.

What will be the best platforms?

What are the best platforms in your queue? There are multiple choices in our hands now. Each is different with its features. I care about the selection range, credit system, the ability to use multiple devices.

Additionally, we can get CDs from the local library, which saves lots of money. While everyone rushes to download apps, I use the local library leisurely. And finally, LbriVox is one of my choices. There, you can find many audiobooks free.

There are more than enough compelling reasons now

Following comprehensive research, I found that I have more than enough reasons to stick to audiobooks. Accessibility and convenience come to the top. As I am planning a bit busy schedule in the coming years, I will have to keep faith in audiobooks.

The whole book is going to be a drama; it seems interesting. Different characters with different voices and sound designs. It is like the story is coming to life, and I feel like I am doing my imagination so well while listening. Here is a good shoutout to all the talented narrators!! We love you. You make reading easier and more interesting. The cozy thing is the whole listening reminds me of how my loving mother read over me till I fell asleep in childhood.

Another plus point is, as a Non-native English speaker, this is a great learning resource for me. When I was dealing with an English book, I had to allocate extra time to find the meaning of certain terms. Now I am listening to correct pronunciations without spending extra time.

All these things surprised me, and I am reaping benefits nowadays.
