Valentine Platter
Valentine’s Day in our home is always lovable and we celebrate it as a way of expressing our love language. So, It has always been about thoughtfulness — I always express my love with food.
So this year, I decided to prepare a Valentine’s platter filled with everything my husband loves to have — a cozy mix of snacks, crunchy nuts, creamy cheeses, a little sweet treats, and of course, some homemade wade (Wade) made with extra love. To my surprise, my loving husband presented me with a box of chocolates at 12 a.m.! He knows that I love small surprises.

I love offering my love with food as always, his favorites in a platter.
Love Served on a Platter
I wanted the platter to feel warm, abundant, and inviting — not overly styled, not too perfect, just real and comforting.
Here’s what I included:
- Cheeses — creamy, sharp, and mild on crispy biscuits
- Roasted nuts for that irresistible crunch
- A few sweet bites including dates to balance the savory flavors
- Some oranges for color and freshness
- Homemade wade — golden, crispy, and made from the heart
- fried chicken, carrot and cucumber on a stick
- Orange Juice
Each item had a reason. Each one was chosen because we both lights up when they see it. And that’s what made it special.

The Heart Behind It
As someone who runs a lifestyle space like Curlysinn, I always believe celebrations don’t need to be complicated to be meaningful. They just need to be intentional.
Valentine’s Day is often portrayed as candlelit dinners and roses — and while those are beautiful — I find joy in creating moments at home. A platter like this becomes more than just food.
Food has a magical way of bringing people closer. When we sat together and reached for our favorites, was the best thing I enjoyed as the maker. Homemade wade that disappeared faster than I expected! Hithesh also had two wade , it was his first time and we were very happy.
These Platters Are Perfect
If you’re thinking of doing something simple yet meaningful, I highly recommend a platter-style celebration. Here’s why:
1. It’s personal.
You can customize it with what your loved ones truly enjoy.
2. It’s stress-free.
No complicated cooking schedule. Prepare, arrange, and enjoy.
3. It feels abundant.
Even simple ingredients look luxurious when styled thoughtfully.
4. Everyone can pick what they love.
No pressure. No formality. Just comfort.
Final Thoughts
This Valentine’s platter wasn’t about impressing anyone. It was about celebrating our love and being thankful for ourselves for navigating this ship of life together with all ups and downs. I love you sweetheart!!
How was your Valentine?
