Winter Purchases; My Favorite
This winter, I kept things simple and focused on staying warm and comfortable. Two purchases made a bigger difference than I expected: a humidifier and heated socks.
The humidifier quickly became part of my daily routine. I bought it from Bic Camera in Japan. There were many types of humidifiers, but this one was good enough for our small room. We were both satisfied with it, so we bought it. It was a physical purchase, so I have no links for you to refer.
With the heaters running all day, the air in our room felt extremely dry and uncomfortable, leaving us feeling dried out. Adding a humidifier made the space feel calmer and easier to breathe in. It helped with dry skin, chapped lips, and even made sleeping more comfortable at night. I noticed less dry skin and waking up feeling more refreshed, which made winter mornings a little easier. The most important thing is it is very useful for my boy too,
Easier breathing: Moist air helped keep my baby’s nose from getting too dry or stuffy, especially at night.
Better sleep: With less dry air, my baby seemed more comfortable and woke up less often. It is always good for both of us. Once he is having a good and sound sleep he feels so good.
Less dry skin: The harsh winter dryness does not spoil his skin anymore.
And our socks, we bought this. Yes, its men’s socks, but I also use it at home. Haha! No judgements, it was good for y budget and it good for winter.
I’m always cold, especially my feet, no amount of blankets ever seemed to help and these were a game changer and life saver in every sense. Whether I was studying, relaxing at home, or just trying to stay warm on extra chilly days, they made everything feel more comfortable and cozy.
Overall, these two are our favorite cozy upgrade in this winter so far. These two items helped me enjoy winter more instead of just getting through it. Small upgrades, but a big difference in my everyday comfort.
