Cozy Homemade Japanese Nabe

When the weather gets cold, nothing sounds better than a warm pot of nabe.
Today I’d love to share the kimchi-flavored spicy hot pot  prepared at home.

It’s filled with plenty of vegetables, mushrooms, and the meat of your choice. But this time, I did not use meat.

One of the best things about nabe is how simple it is to make.
Using ingredients you already have in the fridge, you can quickly put together a meal
that warms both your body and your heart, even on busy days. Great for busy mom too.

I used kimchi flavored cube for the soup. It is easy and time saving for my busy days. My pot of nabe filled with leek, carrot, mushroom, radish and Chinese cabbage mainly this time.

Gathering around the table with family or loved ones,
reminds me that these moments are the little joys of everyday life. A way for healthy living.

For me, homemade Japanese nabe isn’t just food. It’s a reminder that comfort doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be as simple as a shared meal, a warm bowl, and the quiet joy of being present in your own space. In those moments, the world feels softer, slower, and just a bit more kind. It’s the kind of meal that encourages pauses, conversation, or comfortable silence. Sometimes it’s shared, sometimes it’s just relaxing moment in quiet night. Either way, it feels grounding.

I hope to keep enjoying cozy homemade nabe throughout this winter. I am happy that my goal of truing for Japanese foods at home in 2025, is getting great day by day.
