How was your 2025

As we reach the tail end of 2025, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude. This year has been filled with countless beautiful moments. In many ways, my life found its best version in 2025.

I became a mom—and with that gorgeous title, my entire life transformed into something I had never imagined. My emotions, my way of thinking, my understanding of moments, life, and future plans—everything began shifting in a new direction, one that feels deeply positive and meaningful.

Life Learnings

This year taught me how to endure, how to be patient, and how to find joy even in the smallest moments. Above all, I learned how to care for a teeny-tiny human soul.

I felt my own mother’s presence more strongly than ever before. The way she took care of my baby, of us, and the time we spent together was pure gold. I truly wish I could freeze that phase of her stay with me in Japan—it is a memory I will cherish forever.

I also started learning the power of observation—understanding that I don’t need to respond to everything. Not every comment deserves a reaction, especially when it disturbs inner peace. Interfering in unnecessary talks and discussions only invites negative energy, and we simply don’t need that. Life has so many beautiful things worth talking about instead.

Strength, Loss, and Compassion

Early this year, my husband lost his father. I witnessed firsthand how deeply a child feels the loss of a parent. At the same time, I saw my husband’s strength in a way I never had before. I never knew he carried such immense willpower.

Even though we traveled to Sri Lanka and did everything we could while his father was hospitalized, we couldn’t be by his side at the moment of his passing. He passed away exactly one week after we returned to Japan. I still wonder how my husband endured all of it.

I supported him in every way I could, but I learned that some burdens cannot be carried by anyone else. Through this experience, I learned how to stand firm while keeping a soft heart. I feel like I have lots of things to learn from him.

Healthy Living

Despite the tides of emotions and busy schedules, I transformed our dinner table into something intentional and nourishing. We embraced low-carb, protein-based meals that supported a healthier lifestyle.

My kitchen stayed busy experimenting with new dishes—many of which became family favorites. I also started walking regularly with my baby, a habit inspired by Japanese daily life. Simple, mindful, and refreshing.

As expected at the beginning of the year, I tried several Japanese dishes at home too.

What I Watched

Compared to last year, I watched a good number of movies. Baby vs Man was one of the most recent—and it was beautifully done, filled with humor and emotion, touching many layers of life.

Learning & Growth

I also joined a new language class this year. It has been incredibly fulfilling, and I truly feel myself improving day by day—learning correct grammar, better flow, and gaining confidence along the way.

Out of everything, the chemistry between my husband and me is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I wouldn’t be this free without him. I am thankful for him ever moment for being with me.

2025 reshaped me—as a woman, a mother, a partner, and a learner. It taught me patience, strength, softness, and gratitude. And for all of that, this year will always hold a special place in my heart.
