New baby sleep.
Nine months of pregnancy don’t only bring a new human soul into the world. Along with that beautiful new life, countless questions crowd a mother’s mind—especially when it’s their first baby.
When our little boy was born, we were living in the same apartment we live in now. It isn’t very big. Back in Sri Lanka, our houses are usually quite spacious, so having enough room for a crib or any type of baby bedding is rarely an issue. But here, we had to think carefully.
We had a few priorities: space, comfort, protection, and affordability. My husband and I searched Amazon over and over—especially him, because he always does deep research before buying anything.
Eventually, we chose this mini crib. It came with several advantages, especially the fact that it can be used until about one year of age. Wooden Crib with Casters and Mosquito Net with Mattress.
A co-sleeper was also an option—convenient for feeding and easy to reach the baby whenever needed. This mini crib we purchased is very similar to a co-sleeper because the protective rails can be adjusted. It worked perfectly for us, and as our baby grew, we could adjust the railing height accordingly. Now he is around 11 months old and will soon turn one.
I still put him in the crib so he can see outside through our high windows. We are fine with the mini crib after all that research.

A bassinet could have been a good option, too, because of its mobility. But we chose the mini crib with adjustable rails because we wanted to get the most long-term use out of whatever we bought. I even had the idea of converting the crib into a mini library once he grows, which makes buying the mini crib feel even more worth it. I am waiting for that adventure too.
So, how about your new baby sleep? What were or are the facts you are thinking of?
