Do you use Baby Formula? Must knowing!

Are you a mom, using Baby Formula? How about your experience?

I am a mom of a six-month-old baby boy, and I have been raising my boy since his birth here in Japan. First and foremost, I love expressing my true feelings on feeding. I support and value all types of feeding methods, including breastfeeding, formula, or both. Truly, I wholeheartedly believe “however, fed is the best.” And other thing I need to add here is, none of us is not entitled to, judge feeding moms, because there are thousands of untold, heart aching stories behind the curtains.

Moreover, in this write-up, I am not promoting any type of brands, or whatsoever, but simply my experience and thoughts.

Meiji” 明治

Since I am currently live in Japan, I would love to exchange my thoughts on the formula I am using by now. In Japan, formula milk is called “ミルク”. I still use the Formula brand, called “Meiji” 明治. You can buy Meiji formula in the form of powder and cubes from drug stores and even from Amazon. Each cube needs 40ml of clean, boiling water. The cubes are easy to use. Even though you are on the road, you can easily get boiling water from a nearby”Konbini” コンビニ and prepare milk for your hungry soul.

One thing you need to keep in mind is, after using the formula bar, make sure to close the rest tightly. you can easily use sellotape (transparent adhesive tape) to protect from exposing unnecessarily. Morefully, once you’ve taken out the cubes you need, just tear open the packet at the marked line. You can easily seal the rest with some sellotape to keep it fresh.

But once, we bought the powder. Since it is not practical to carry with us, whenever needed, we gave up buying it. The container is super handy and waste-free. In order to prevent waste of milk, the childproof tab on the lid allows easy one-handed opening without removing the entire lid. And the levelling edge too is amazing and customer-friendly.

However, be sure to read the preparation guidelines carefully, including water temperature, amount of milk/ cube, or powder. The correct quantities and preparation method are so so so important.

My advice is, if you are travelling with kids, make sure to bring the formula your baby used to have. In my recent visit to Sri Lanka, I experienced this truly. They might not like new flavours, so be sure not to waste your money and time without a purpose. And personally, I try my best in breastfeeding, but when there are unavoidable circumstances and other things, I keep trust on this.

However, I would say, if you need formula feeding, get the support of a medical specialist, not life lifestyle website.
