Single-tasker

Are you a single-tasker?

One snowy evening, I was in the kitchen preparing a hot soup. I was very busy chopping and cutting vegetables on the countertop. At the same time, I prepared two curries for next day and some snacks for evening tea. All these chores were recorded simultaneously for my YouTube channel. Altogether, it took a maximum of two and a half hours.

Same time I was attending to my baby who was cooing on the bed.

My husband was quite surprised and told me, you are a “multi-tasker, sweety. “

I am not surprised by the comment, but his amazingly glittering eyes persuaded me to think about his comment again. He was quite right, and I am a multitasker. I could do so, and I feel so productive with Multitasking.

How about you?

While practicing as a cooperative Attorney in Sri Lanka, I had to be a multi-tasker. Answering phone calls, replying to emails, and checking out to-do lists, I dealt with thousands of things at once. But I can say that it was not only because of my profession; I was a multitasker even before that.

It feels like I am making the maximum use of my time. Of course, the most important thing is my latest role as a “busy mama” is also asking me to be a multi-tasker.

My husband is the other way around. I would call him a single-tasker. One work at a time. However busy he is he would do one work at a time.

Are you proud of yourself for juggling different tasks at once? But this article taught me that this feeling is not true always. It says multitasking could hamper your productivity. How do you feel

I remember even psychological studies believed that women are better at multitasking. This seems to be true, and I trust my gut. Yes, most of the women I have seen in my life love to be multitaskers, if not, they have to play so.

How do you feel? Any personal experience? I love to hear!
