Do you love getting older with grace?
What do you really mean by “getting older with grace?”
There were times I was too worried about aging. We all love to perform as giddy teenagers most of the time. No serious thoughts, no contemplating, simply in free bird mode.
Whenever you are feeling unfit with your aging skin, the performance so far achieved, the to-do list, especially, how would you make up your mind? The authentic sense of “getting older with grace” comes with your instincts.
But, to tell you the truth, I am feeling the perks of aging. Here are some perks we all come to know at a certain age of life…
You start celebrating and complimenting what you love and what you have. “Me Time” is your best time always.
You are not worrying too much over unnecessary drams going outside your circle. No more comparisons with others’ timelines. Because you know already that life is always a healing and therapeutic journey.
The most important thing about “Aging” is your ability to say “No”
This is something very personal I experienced, and I would love to refer to it as “covid era therapy”. We all experienced COVID as a struggling period. Everyone was blaming and making accusations over this tiny unseen virus. But I believe that my aging instincts showed me something positive in it. So I leave every stone unturned to shape my body. While most people are struggling and cursing I was doing something else. The result was amazing. I was able to have the figure I dreamt of.
That period is not necessarily the happiest and easiest at all, I accept. But it was one of the best in my case.
I literally know that I am still in my early thirties, so you would probably wonder why I was talking too much about “aging.” My mother would ask, “Please do not think you are old and you are getting started.” “Hahaha. I know, but I am saying that practice makes you perfect!!
One more, I want to do things that make my 40’s 50’s proud. I am always surrounded by energetic women in every way. They inspire me. The inner calm and tranquility they have attained, the sensible knowledge of life they are acquiring is so amazing. This particular way of framing “aging” is so worthy for me.
Last but not least, I love to give you some insight along with some Eastern philosophy. I do not know how many of you have heard of “Buddhism.” This particular philosophy is so close to me, and I find a lot of solace in Buddhism on this. Getting older can be done gracefully when you accept the reality. True that we are getting older minute by minute, getting closer to the grave. No one knows what’s going to be next. But one thing we all can do, is “accepting the true meaning of life” , The life is so uncertain.
keep in mind, that even dried flowers end up as nice cards.
