How would you productively spend a rainy day?

As kids, most of us love to walk in the rain, stepping into the puddles and it was very peaceful. But now we need something else. Instead of jumping into the rain, we look at the rain, and with our tide schedules, we try to get the maximum use of the day.

The Spring has come officially. So normally we are expected to enjoy ourselves outside more, have new air, enjoy sakura blooming, and do more physical exercise in the park. You are on your day off so you get up with energy and get ready for your “me time” things. But you hear thunders and lightning and it is a cat and dog rain out there.

Today I would love to table this question in this wonderful “reading club”. When rain breaks your heart in the spring, how would you react?

The simple answer is, that you can turn a rainy day into your “me time“. Here are some tips for you.

Try some tasty recipe

Cooking might not be everyone’s desire. But there are some. It could be anything you love to have something is a rainy day. Even a French toast can do a great thing. You can see the rain drops while having it.

Have your tea or coffee

Something pipping hot is a great idea one could have on a rainy day. Staple in every rainy day. It warms you as always. I just hold my mug with all two hands and it helps to warm my whole body.

Reading a book

Tea or coffee plus an interesting book is the most famous combination ever. Even a few minutes with a good book will be great therapy for you. You can try either social media news feeds or blog reading too. But I always love to keep printed material on my hands.

Exercise

This could be a bit boring because exercise outside refills us and gives us some extra energy to keep up our routine. But indoor things are also not bad all the time. The healthiest version of yours is the greatest investment you make for yourself, nothing can beat it. You can have some “yoga” positions to relax the mind.

Practice mindfulness

Mindfulness is a great thing for you to practice while indoors. No fact-finding missions, no judgementalism, no problem-solving, no imposing personal views nothing at all. We just be at the moment. How peaceful! You see the beauty of everything you pass by. Looking around and enjoying every minute is the way to go. This practice is very useful in finding the real you. You are not influenced by extra causes, you pay fully attention on every thing you do. Then you would see more than you saw yesterday. You might see rain drops and their designs in the puddles.

Just try.

What else do you do when you are inside four walls? Love Xo Xo!!
