Honey and Lemon combination for endless cough

We are in the period of transitioning from Winter to Spring. It is always really hard to predict the weather in this transitions. Sudden change of the temperature is a common fact in these days. There is never a distinct overnight change. The seasonal change is a gradual process. However, this process was badly affecting my husband as always. He was suffering from a runny nose and sore throat last couple of days. But last night he got an endless cough which was so terrible.

We had a spray for the throat, but it was for sore throat and phlegm. Suddenly I came up with an easy homemade remedy for cough. I had used this remedy while I was in Sri Lanka which was super easy. All you need is,

Honey, lukewarm water, and lemon.

Just boil the kettle and pour hot water into the mug. Then squeeze the slice of lemon into lukewarm water then add honey. Stir well. Now it is ready for serving. For the best results, you need to consume it warm. But I have heard that, alternatively, you can eat a teaspoonful of honey all alone. The core is “honey” works well in every way.

I prepared the portion and served it. It was amazing and worked well.

Including my husband, many people turn to medications, like paracetamol. In my case most of the time I love to rely on natural substances. The honey-lemon combination is one of my choices to fight infection. Most of the time these work instantly for me.

Even in the COVID-19 pandemic I truly trusted this portion together with vaccination. According to one study, honey contains anti-bacterial properties that destroy cough-causing bacteria. And the honey must be of pure quality. On the other side, Lemon is enriched in Vitamin C and builds up our immune system.

Both honey and lemon are readily available. Two friends always need to be in the kitchen.

Have you tried this honey lemon combination, report me back. How did you feel?
