The “first date” with my husband, what I wore

Relationship

We had an almost two-year-long distance relationship. It was really cool and it was a special relationship that taught me amazing lessons I never experienced in my life before. Whatever the type of relationship, “trust and self-honesty” is the core always. If you have it from both sides that’s the thing!!

Back to my story.

On our very first day, both of us wanted to meet in an unfamiliar but loving city. “Kandy” was our unanimous choice. We had talked to each other hundreds of things when he was living in a faraway land. But we never dried up talking to each other. So we allocated a whole day for each other. He had come to see my parents before, so it was not the very first physical meet-up for both of us. But it was the second.

The day before the lovely meetup, I was in a choice of my outfit!! The first impression matters always indeed. The younger me would have worn my all-time favorite jeans and crop top possibly. But I was in my late twenties and by then my costume favoritism had changed immensely, I had shifted into nice frocks instead of jeans.

If I give you a descriptive explanation of my costume on that lovely day. It went like this. It was,

shirt collar “V” typed neckline

cream-colored

Front zipped

short-sleeved with bowknot

gathered, fit, and flare

inseamed pocket

non stretched

knee-length frock.

Since I was not much interested in putting on makeup, I decided not to have it. I felt so simple and free and I wanted to keep my life motto alive”simple natural plus comfortable always”. I wanted to be myself all the day with him. And since we chose our favorite botanical garden, Kandy, we were meant to walk more freely. Both of us wanted it. So I chose my flat dark sandals, the pair was so helpful in walking.

Everything went so smoothly of course but one thing was troubling us, the “bowknot” of my sleeve. Most of the time the bow was untied, and he had to tie it several times. It was a “sweet trouble” I would say. Today, I am thankful myself for choosing that easily united bowknot dress. LOL!

How was your first date or how is it going to be?
