Recently I thought to do some changes on my usual walking routine, a “shift” indeed, morning walk into evening walk. We are spending the final days of winter, I wanted to feel winter evenings. So I started the evening walk. Breathing cool air always brings some energy to me. It was not cold outside today. We are waiting for longer daylight and shorter night time. The transition from winter to spring is a gradual process with some changes.
It was a windy gloomy sky without rain. While in Sri Lanka we had burning sun and warmth all day most of the time. Things have changed and I love that change. I always believe “CHANGE” is the key factor of “beauty”. Your mind changes, people change so as the weather. All that we need to do is embrace with warm hearts.
Here are some shots I captured during my walk If you love to see them.
These oranges hang in the branches like lights. It’s pretty to see. I crossed the road nearby and walked along the pavement.
My left side is the park. No one was there since it was almost 6 or 6.30 pm. Well, pruned grass and a clean playground were a clean scene.
Except for physical health benefits, what have you earned from your walking habit? Did you fill your cup?
Can you see the Sakura buds, it is blooming, the best is yet to come.
Taking care of yourself is the best part of one’s life. You are not eligible to pour from an empty cup. So you are to fill your cup. Are you filling your cup? Nurturing your cup in small ways always eases burnout and exhaustion.
One of the most common scenes in Japan is the vending machine. In winter the machine is full of warm drinks. I tried nothing because nothing inside was my choice, indeed.
Taking time for yourself is not a luxury but self-care. How long do you allocate for yourself or “me time”
Is walking a part of your “me time” Does it assist you to fill your cup?
