Wonderful things, beauty is always in the beholder’s eye

Last weekend was a great one and we had a three-day continuous holiday. Here are some relaxing and happy moments I grabbed.
Finally, I received my parcel all the way from Sri Lanka. The whole parcel consisted of the unending love of my family. The parcel was full of traditional sweets, spices, and many more.

Some traditional curries from Sri Lanka. I had a plate of rice with traditional Sri Lankan spicy curries including Polsambol and dried fish curry(Malu abulthiyal).

It was super tasty. Sticky rice with real coconut pol sambol was great. Here we use desiccated coconut for preparing pol sambol. Leaving one’s mother country is an unutterable pain. You miss your most valuable family. You are missing your loved ones getting old. You miss their loving caring words. Thanks to the digital platform we are connecting. Wherever in the world I love my family.

This wonderful thing in my gallery is a photo taken last year. Watalappan is a sweet mainly prepared out of eggs, and jaggery, made holidays festive. This was my third time preparing watalappan while in Japan. This was the most successful time out of all.

On Monday we had a relaxing walk and the walk ended up at one of my favorite places. All the time our favorite is “crispy chicken burger”. It is always simple and tasty. But this time they had changed its name with slight differences. I can’t remember the name exactly. The only thing I can remember was its flavor. The usually expected flavor had changed. I missed it badly. They have added some other type of sause inside.

On our way home I captured some clicks. The road was narrow and it was a small jungle on the right side of the road. We waited there for a bit and relaxed.

Life is so very beautiful, that beauty is always in the beholder’s eye.
