Our whole wedding thing is a photographic memory for me.
Following the ceremony we left for our honeymoon and after that day our plans were scheduled to be at my Husband’s home. I had a super simple red saree with a very simple bouquet made up by my loving sister. All fine so I wanted to wear my necklace worn by my husband on the first day. It is the tradition.
So I asked my husband to get it from the car. I can remember I placed the necklace in a red velvet box and put it in the car. So with no frustration, I asked him to fetch it. After a considerable time, he came back and asked, “Darling, don’t panic, are you sure about the place where you place the necklace” Yes. Couldn’t you find it, wait I will have a look. I replied. We both went and started the search together. Initially I was super confident on the necklace so I had no frustrations. The time passed and I started to become restless a bit. Both turned the car upside down and we ended up with nothing.
It is so pretty and I love that he took the time to select it carefully. With a charming design of course!
He saw how upset I was with the loss. So he wanted to have me a necklace however so, he bought one, a simple actually but worth it for me. Something with a great sentimental value. To have a self relief I told myself “Love is not in the necklace but in hearts.”
So we went home and everything ended up nicely. I felt so sorry because I was the one who put it, and I could not protect it. With sorrow, I started the search with a broken heart. The magic happened, I saw something stuck inside the leather cover of our traveling bag. I do not know how it happened, it was inside there.
But some years after the marriage, my thinking was quite right, “Love is not in the necklace but in hearts.” with more alternations I say, “Love is not in physical things, but it’s always in hearts.”
Any weird things on your wedding day?
