How much do you like Indian cuisine

Culture Food

I think I do love Indian cuisine all because it’s unique flavor and aroma. And more it is not sugar driven but spicy driven. Abundance of flavors layer upon layer. Cooking can be steamed or fried or, whatever way still the final product is excellent.

Since my childhood I always wanted to try Thosai, idli, wade and all sorts of Indian foods either South or North, Indian recipes are so loved. The cuisines are spicy driven and similar with Sri Lankan taste. A delicate amount of turmeric, pepper, mustard, chilie, garlic, cardamom and curry leaves all those play a vital role.

How can you ever resist Hyderabad Biriyani, fluffy nan of Punjab and all sorts of Indian cuisines? Indian restaurants are opened day by day all over the world. And if you are a vegan, Indian cuisines will help you. No doubt. Hundred of vegan variations will be in front of your table. You have many choices in your hand.

I was introduced to a Indian restaurant by my husband on my first days in Japan. Now I am their frequent customer. Soon after realized I am loosing my money and I started to try some menus at my home. I know it is not Authentic Indian. But I know, cooking is all about experiment and expression. So I am not worried. When I was discussing on this with one of my friends she said, “All recipes were once an experiment and it became popular recipe by the time. What a comforting response. LoL!! The only thing is Indian cuisines expect us to be in the kitchen a considerable amount of time. But you will not be worried with final product.
