Why do I still love “Anne of Green Gables”?

Anne Sherly is loved by her vivid imagination. And one of the most beloved book series out of my childhood mini library. A red-headed girl who had to spend her whole childhood in an orphanage due to the untimely death of her beloved parents. Recently I watched the Netflix series. But it does not cover up the entire series, but just the first book out of eight series.

Should you read the Green Gables series? I can’t tell if you like it or not. But I didn’t become bored. It is something like we were growing together. The fictional character whom I imagined to be with me in real life. A great series where you can start reading in your early teens and end up in your late teens.

Her childhood scrapes still burst me out with tears. Getting her best friend Diana for the wine they mistake for Raspberry soda, trying to dye her hair and it ends up with green or something.

The white-coloured fancy wooden fence around the farmhouse never goes out of mind!! How adorable.

Being true to herself without fear of judgment is the best part of her life. It remains one of the best books of all time. It is insightful, enchanting, profound, and nostalgic. All in one bite.
