A three-day long weekend, so, relaxing. I was just going through my gallery. See what I found. I had prepared various types of dishes when I was in Sri Lanka. We had vegetable verities there. I always fell in love with vegetables grown in rural areas. They are so fresh and always with different tastes. Here, we have limited vegetable verities. But I love all the things I have. These limited vegetable verieties taught me how to cook different dishes with the same vegetables. I am getting more creative.
If you love to see some photographs of my Sri Lankan type cooking, here it is,
super delicious manioc, better with spicy polsambol
Egg hoppers with spicy fish curry. So crispy, and I doubt you will easily fall in love with it.
Favorite batumoju . It is not difficult to prepare this curry here. Normally when I am in the mood of cooking I prepare “Batumoju” and store it in my bottles to use in due course. A great dish for a dull day. you can prepare only one curry with this. Believe me, you will try this again and again.
Sri Lankan traditional sweet “Helapa” is prepared out of Kurakkan piti. A special type of flour is used in Sri Lankan in preparing meals including sweets and some herbal drinks.
Apart from delicious foodies, super cute, heartwarming memories.
The very first breakfast was as Mrs.Jayawardhana. What a pleasant sweet cozy life I am having with this lovable person!! I am enjoying each day with this unity and counting more.
Sweet candlelight dinner with my bubi and my sister. Loving memories!!
My bubi’s crafts at her kindergarten competition. My clever sweetheart!
The alms giving by my family before I set foot in Japan. What a holy feeling. Except for fruits and yogurt, everything was homemade.
One of my favorite places on this earth, “Rathnapura Maha Saman Devalaya” in Sri Lanka. The holy feeling I have once I set foot there is enormous. Have you been there?
I love the gallery. Many photos, many memories. When I feel alone I go to my gallery and see the images,itI is a great relief for me. Because photographs always tell a story, and arouses the memories and feelings we had at the time of taking it.
Scrolling down the gallery is great fun, isn’t it? How about yours? The gallery is full of memory books, isn’t it? Love to share your loved memories in your gallery!!
