How do you keep calm amid calamity?

Mindfulness

Life is full of ups and downs. Fun, sorrow, lonely, satisfied, dissatisfied blend of all. The circle is repeating with an unending process. So, how do you keep calm amid calamity?

My question to the group is, what are the methods you use to keep calm amid calamity?

Not in a group member of the clergy, simply as laymen, being devastated in calamity is not extraordinary at all, is it? That is the nature. But it is so disastrous and badly affects for loved ones around us. Calamity drags you away from your comfort zone and makes you discomfort. It makes you nervous and restless.

Keeping calm in a calamity was a total headache for me some years back. I am determined to be calm but become nervous even without my knowledge. Any experience with it? Nothing goes well with an anxious mind. But the same thing repeats.

By the time I understood that acting calmly amid calamity is not possible all at once, you can not do magic!! All that you need is to practice by yourself daily. Then it becomes a part of your routine. Practice becomes a habit and it combines with your daily routine easily.

I wanted to practice this rest of my life. I started a course in Udmey, one of the greatest online learning platforms I am engaging with. This was very helpful for me to understand the nature of my mind.

It seems things are working well. Whatever is going around you, you are the master of your behavior. Because everything is based on your mind. Being in the moment and understanding the situations without judgment is crucial. When things not going well, what can you do? I prefer to be honest here, there were times, I clinged into particular incidents days and weeks, weeping inside and thinking of it unnecessarily. But nothing went well. I pressed myself, and it badly affect those who around me too.

Instead of pressing yourself, you can choose something to relax your mindset, a preferred way to spend “me time“, practice the “Art of doing nothing“, the “Art of Noticing”

What are your methods? what do you follow? does it make sense for you? Let us share!!
