This is also of of my mouthwatering chicken recipes.
Ingredients
Boneless chicken (you have to cut chicken in to small pieces)
Onion.
Ginger garlic paste, cumin seeds, clove all need to be crushed well as a paste.
Tomato
Turmeric powder, Chile flakes, pepper with taste
Salt with the taste
Frying the chicken
Get your chicken. After washing add some pepper, and salt and keep it for seasoning 15-20 minutes. If you need your chicken not to be hard, I advise you not to add salt to your seasoning. But fried chicken normally comes with a bit tough bite. So it’s up to you. I prefer a hard bite so I add salt. And keep for seasoning.
Special tip for you – in this dish you need to slice your onion in a way. Normally we remove the tough edges of onion in preparing normal dishes. (Hope our readers follow the same in daily cooking, love to hear) But here something different. We keep the tough edges of the onion as it is. As follows. Slices of onion are meant to remain as a tiny bundle. Alright. Hope you are fine with the idea trying to convey.
For the sauce– I prepare this with a special sauce, a homemade sauce. For that, you need Corn flour about 1 tbsp, vinegar, a pinch of sugar, and say sauce(if you like), and chili flakes. First, let us prepare the sauce. It is so easy just combine all the above ingredients for the sauce and add some water. And stir. The main purpose of this sauce is to thicken the fried chicken. Then keep it away. After the easy process, your sauce looks like the following.
Now let us prepare hot fried chicken. Normally fried chicken is meant to be in deep fry. But here I use the method of shallow fry, in which very little amount of oil is used. I am always keen on health. If one wants to try with deep fry it is also up to you. Turning each piece of chicken you need to fry all the chicken till golden brown. The fried chicken is fine now.
I need to share this with you, now I use these “chopsticks” commonly used in Japan for many occasions. I fried all the chicken turning it upside down along with these little chopsticks, it is super easy. Did you see the chopsticks along with fried chicken?
Back to dish.
Then add some oil to the pan, and add the paste which is enriched with ginger, garlic, cumin seed, and clove. When it is turning in to golden brown add the onion. Add some turmeric powder too.
Now onion slices are getting tender add your golden browny chicken. Incorporate all chicken and onion well.
and then add pre-made sauce. stir well the sauce before adding. It looks like this. Is not it the color good?
Stir well, no you can see the dish is getting ticker. You can also add bell pepper or in Sri Lanka we can use “Malu miris” if you need to. Then sliced tomato. If you need you can add tomato sauce also. After adding sauce do not keep it long over heat.
