Our Golden Week 2023; The full Recap

Family vacation

The golden week usually comes at the end of April and the beginning of May in Japan which is rather a long holiday for people. It comprises four national holidays including Showa Day, Constitutional Memorial Day, Greenery, and Children’s Day. So a long holiday for a perfect outing and experience hunting.

We decided to spend a night seeing the dazzling sleepless Tokyo, wooh!!! This was the primary idea. So seeds were grown by both, with the conclusion of staying a perfect night in a high building where Sky Tree is visible so close. After days of digging found, Mitsui Garden Hotel with a perfect package.

Before the stay, the whole day is meant for roaming around Shibuya and Ginza. yes in the middle of the rain. LOL !! We were fortunate with the Tokyo Metro 24-hour ticket. What a lucky couple!! So you could travel with these special tickets around Tokyo throughout the day.

It was my childhood dream to look into the world-famous faithful “Hachiko”. Sure you have heard about it!! What a pleasant memory. And then the famous Shibuya Crossing, where all vehicles stop in all directions to allow pedestrians to cross over.

By the May winter must be gone out of sight. But in 2023 It’s May but still so cold with extra rains.

So making a slight difference with the preplanned schedule we both wanted to have a hot pot of Ramen to warm up our bodies. In traditional Ramen bowls, you can’t see cheesy toppings as I know. (Any locals reading this correct me if i wrong ) Celebrating our unplanned Ramen desire it was really hot and good bowl of Ramen with a cheesy topping plus pork broth. This was my first Ramen experience with cheesey topping. Most of the times i am not a fan of pork club, but this day i had to. However what a nice and perfect combo.

Yes, it was still raining, but the town view was magnificent, you can watch the scene for hours. The well-cushioned laying sofa was a perfect spot for us two, to drown in the ocean of thoughts. No interruption, just the whisper of raindrops. Can you imagine!!!

Yes, it was drizzling throughout the night. But look what a scene we had in the very morning, what lucky people are at least at the end of our stay!! LOL The skytree

With the satisfying scene, we had our breakfast, and our tunnies were perfect.

The day was fully shining, not a scorching sun, but mild sunshine that soothed our cold bodies. So we ended up thus. What a town Tokyo!! Bye till we meet again.
