Yesterday, my husband and I celebrated our third Wedding Anniversary.
First anniversary, we did some charity work, and this time we celebrated inside our four walls. The rainy season has officially begun in Japan. It is raining all day, drizzling, the gentle sound of tapping raindrops, a cool and calm vibe of the day, plus our special day, compelled him not to go to work. As I could remember our first two anniversarries fell on holidays. So, we were at home. But this time we stayed home intentionally.
This time we are having our sweet little boy with us, so we decided to stay at home. It was a small but memorable one. I made pancakes in the morning. A slice of butter on top, plus melted dark chocolate, added beauty to our morning table.

Then I prepared our usual dinner.

When I was busy chopping vegetables at the countertop. My husband came to the kitchen and asked, “Darling, didn’t you get a message?”
I looked at him and said, Mmm, no, I hope I didn’t, phone is not with me. I replied.
He handed me my phone, and I quickly checked it. I didn’t see any new messages. One of my pots was on the stove and starting to smoke, so I was trying to hurry.
I said, “No, Darling, I didn’t. Did you hear a notification sound?”
He returned, took the mobile back, “umm, see”
I took it from him again and checked once more earnestly.
“Oh, I am sorry, darling. How could I miss it?” I yelled. It was a message from Uber Eats, a gift from him. A dessert gift, with my favourite cheesecakes.
